Kendrick Lamar, Robert Glasper, Ariana Grande & Hunter Hayes To Curate GRAMMY U Amplifier Center Stage
Original Story The Grammy U Initiative is introducing a program with the Recording Academy to bring together major artists and aspiring musicians for Amplifier Center Stage. The program, which will unite established artists with young, emerging musicians seeking mentors, is a collaboration between Hyundai and The Recording Academy is meant to give students and aspiring musicians the ability to submit music and have it critiqued and curated by this year's incredible panel of artists: Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Robert Glasper, and Hunter Hayes.
Last year, Amplifier Center Stage teamed up with Mike Shinoda, the creative head of Linkin Park, for a successful run, and now they're hoping to get even more people involved with this year's program. It will run through the 56th Annual Grammy Awards season and the winners of the initiative will be announced at the official Grammy Week event on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014.
Anyone who wants to participate will be able to use SoundCloud to upload and share their music for a chance to have their material vetted by the panel of artists. You don't need to be a member of Grammy U to send in music.
If you are a musician who would like to submit music to the program, visit www.grammyuamplifier.com to sign up. Keep in mind that the submission deadline is December 10th.
