Breaking the news on Twitter, the Chicago, Illinois native thanked his hometown after performing a show, also stating that he signed to the label.
“Chicago Thank Yall For An Incredible Show 2nite!!! Thank Yall For You Patience w/me over the yrs… Time well served. Motown Baby,” he wrote.
The R&B singer most recently released his debut album "Pineapple Now-Laters" last month.
