Original Story 2 Chainz has scored a number one album with his solo debut Based on a T.R.U. Story, released via Def Jam.
According to HDD, Tity Boi sold 145,809 copies of B.O.A.T.S., unseating Now That's What I Call Music 43 from the top of the charts. The final tally is above estimates, which ranged from 135,000 to 140,000. Label mate Rick Ross slips a spot from number two to three with God Forgives, I Don't, moving another 41,186 copies this week.
Insane Clown Posse had a surprisingly high debut with Mighty Death Pop, which bows at number four on the chart with 39,337 copies sold in its first week. Nas' Life is Good takes a hit this week, dropping from 14 to 21 15,551 copies sold.
